Read What Writers Are Saying About Running For My Life:

Running for My Life is “The frank and fearless story of a great kid who overcomes the unimaginable. I will be thinking about Andrea for along, long time.”

—Kirby Larson, author of Newbery Honor Book, Hattie Big Sky

“Gonzalez has created a courageous character who will tug on your heartstrings as she struggles to come to terms with her mother’s mental illness and her own horrifying fears. Andrea is a very likeable character: so hesitant, so unsure. It is no small feat to paint the picture of a girl on the edge. Gonzalez has succeeded.”

—Judy Gregerson, author of Bad Girls Club
